Fencing for New Builds and Renovations
Pool Fencing Planned Around Labrador Rebuilds
Labrador is one of the older Broadwater-front suburbs on the Gold Coast, and renovations and knockdown rebuilds are common here, which is where a lot of our pool fencing work in the suburb comes from. Plenty of rebuilds here put a pool in for the first time on a block that never had one, which means the fence has to be planned alongside the build rather than fitted in afterwards. On an older Labrador home being renovated rather than replaced, the more common challenge is fitting a compliant fence into a narrower, more established block that wasn't laid out with a pool fence in mind.
A Broadwater-facing block often has room for a fence that keeps the water view open, which is where frameless glass tends to earn its place. We manage the fencing side of a Labrador project from the early planning through to the finished install, whether that's a full rebuild or an upgrade to an existing pool. Get in touch early if you're partway through a renovation or rebuild and we'll let you know what fits.

Timing Fencing Right for a Labrador Rebuild
Fencing that's planned alongside a rebuild avoids the rework that comes from fitting it in after the pool, decking and landscaping are already finished, and it's a timing issue we see often on Labrador knockdown projects. On older homes being renovated instead, we work out how to fit a compliant AS1926.1 fence into a narrower, established block without cutting into what little yard space is left.
If you're partway through a renovation or rebuild in Labrador, tell us about the plans and we'll let you know what fits before it's locked in.
